Conferences will be:
Tuesday, October 18, from 5:00-8:00 in the evening
and
Wednesday, October 19, from 8:30-12:00 and 1:00-4:00 during the day.

Classroom Visits - a change in district policy
Hi! Welcome back to a wonderful new year. I am so happy to see so many children return for another year with me and am getting to know the children who are new to me. It is going to be a great school year!
The district has a new policy...
If you would like to visit your child in a classroom rather than the front office, you will need to fill out a volunteer application form which includes references from people who will vouch for you. If you would like to go on field trips, you will need to fill out and pay for a back ground check. The contact at our school is Shelley Ignatowitz.

Homework
The yellow homework folders have been coming home nearly every day. All is still O.K. if it takes an extra day or two for a piece of homework to come back.
Mondays will be math.
Tuesdays will be supporting material for in class reading.
Wednesdays will be math.
Thursdays will be spelling words. Spelling will not be due until Monday so that a child may choose to study the words in many short sessions over the weekend.
If you would like an e-mail of your child's spelling homework, please let me know, I created the practice sheets so I can easily attach them.
